Benson’s stable mate arrives

Late December 2008 the 1929 Buick 27 Sedan arrived from California. This car was purchased as a “parts car” to donate/lend parts to the 25X for the Peking to Paris preparation. The Sedan is in pretty poor shape, no roof and the timber frame around the windscreen and front doors has rotted away. There is little rust as it has been in the California desert for several years. We plan to use this car to borrow parts from and practise on whilst the 25X is being worked on. Tim set up a workshop in the corner of a large warehouse in Croydon and the Sedan was unceremoniously moved from one end of the warehouse to it’s new home by a fork lift truck.
