Roof Frame Repaired I had never managed to take the old hood down on the car. Undoing from the top of the windscreen it would hinge back and point straight up in the air, I only tried once, but could not work out how to “break” the frame. It seems it was not me being daft as Larry Piper (Pipers Upholstery) had the same problem. With the help of Alun Jones (Wessex Workshops) they established that elements of the frame had been put on back to front and other parts were bent or out of alignment. Alun took the frame back to his workshop and has now managed to get it working quite well, reality is that a couple of parts need replacing at some point in the future. The frame is now sorted, Alun has finished making the stanchions and fittings for the doors, so Larry can crack on with the new hood and side curtains.
